by time news

TIROL. The police will check compliance with the corona regulations in public spaces today. Furthermore, the state police department of Tyrol points out compliance with the provisions of the Pyrotechnics Act.

Provisions of the Pyrotechnics Act

According to the provisions of the Pyrotechnics Act (PyroTG 2010), the Use of fireworks Category F2 is generally prohibited in the local area, unless the mayor has exempted certain parts from this prohibition by means of an ordinance. There is no exception regulation in Innsbruck. Even simple, freely obtainable bangers fall under this ban. In particular, it is forbidden to use any pyrotechnic objects inside and near churches, places of worship, hospitals, children’s, retirement and recreation homes as well as animal shelters and zoos and objects at risk of fire, especially petrol stations.

Irrespective of this, the use of pyrotechnic articles can entail extensive dangers and also harass third parties. Above all, fellow citizens and animals in need of rest are affected by the use of such articles.

In accordance with § 40 PyroTG 2010, improper use is punishable by a fine of up to € 3,600 or imprisonment for up to three weeks. Violations according to the COVID-19 Measures Act can be punished with a fine of up to € 1,450.00.

Compliance with the corona regulations

Regarding the media coverage that has already taken place, the Tyrolean police department points out once again that due to the Covid-19 situation, the curfew on New Year’s Eve was set at 10:00 p.m. According to the Ministry of Health, celebrations in the private sector are then limited to a maximum of 10 people, provided that the people come from different households.
In the public area, compliance with the regulations is monitored by the police in the context of priority and patrol services. In the private living area, the Corona regulations are also checked if there are other reasons to intervene (e.g. surveys on physical injuries, etc.).
