The nomination list for the 2021 ICC Player of the Year award has been released.
The ICC is releasing a list of nominees for the ICC Awards. Awards for men and women in all three categories of cricket will be announced.
Best Player (Men and Women), Best Test Player (Men and Women), Best ODI Player (Men and Women), Best T20 Player (Men and Women), Best Young Player (Men and Women), 2021 Awards are given to Associate Player (Men and Women), Best Probation Award, and Best Referee Award. From January 1 to December 31, the best players will be shortlisted by the ICC. The winners will be selected based on the opinions of cricket experts and fans. Winners in each category will be announced from January 17 to 24.
Indian batsman Aswin has been shortlisted for the Test Trophy while Indian batsman Smriti Mandana has been shortlisted for the T20I Trophy.
The list of nominees for the 2021 ICC Cricketer of the Year award has been released. It features Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan, two Pakistani players, England’s Joe Root and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson. The absence of any Indian player in this list has disappointed Indian cricket fans.
