SIDNEY – An object mysterious metal giant found washed up on a beach in Western Australia.
As reported by The Guardian reported that the discovery of this mysterious object caused concern among local residents and the police.
According to the police, the giant copper-colored cylinder was found by residents around last Sunday after it was stranded near Jurien Bay.
The metal cylinder appeared to be badly damaged and was found lying on its side.
Western Australian Police have confirmed it came from a commercial aircraft.
However, they could not confirm what exactly the object was and considered it to be dangerous.
However, police said in a statement that an analysis carried out by the fire chemical center found that “the object is safe and does not pose a risk to residents at this time”.
He explained that the giant cylinder would be moved as soon as the object identification process was complete.
Police are conducting an investigation to identify information about the giant cylinder and asking the public to stay away from the object.
“This step was taken to ensure that the evidence obtained was well preserved, in addition to facilitating further examination,” he explained.
Through videos posted on social media, the partially damaged giant cylinder does not appear to have come from an ordinary plane.
However, police rejected claims that the object came from flight MH370 which disappeared in March 2014.
