Muscat: Chance of heavy rain in Oman. The Met Office has issued a warning in this regard. The National Weather Service has forecast heavy rains in Oman in the coming days due to low pressure in the country. The effect of this low pressure is likely to last until the middle of next week.

Governorates such as Musandam and North Al Batina have warned that the weather will be cloudy in the coming days and there is a possibility of 50 to 100 mm of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms. The IAEA has warned of heavy rains that could overwhelm the plains and cause flash floods in low-lying areas.

Oman has forecast 10 to 30 millimeters of rain in southern Al Batinah, Muscat, Buraimi, Al Dhahira, Al Dhaqlia, South Al Sharqia and North Al Sharqia.
