The film industry has lost not only veteran Indian actor Dilip Kumar but also famous actors Puneet Rajkumar and Vivek this year.

Unnikrishnan Namboodiri
Unnikrishnan Namboodiri, who was involved in grandfather roles in Malayalam cinema, passed away on January 20 at the age of 97 due to corona and pneumonia. Unnikrishnan Namboodiri has acted in films like Pammal Sampantham and Chandramuki which were released in Tamil.
S.P. Jananathan
SB made his directorial debut in the Tamil film industry with the National Award winning film ‘Nature’. Jananathan, who later created a fan base for himself by directing hit films including ‘E’ and ‘Ambition’, died of a heart attack on March 14 at the age of 61.
Vivek
Actor Vivek, affectionately known as the ‘Little Artist’, has appeared as a comedian in more than 100 films, entertaining fans and engaging in various awareness campaigns, including the Corona Vaccine Awareness. Vivek was hospitalized on April 16 due to suffocation and heart attack and died prematurely on April 17 at the age of 59.

Gomakan, the musician who appeared in the song, passed away on May 6 at the age of 48.
Dilip Kumar
Dilip Kumar, the legendary actor who entered the Hindi film industry in 1944 and passed away on July 7, passed away at the age of 98. Recipient of Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards, Dilip Kumar is also the recipient of the highest Dada Saheb Phalke Award given by the Government of India to the film industry.
Scholar
He wrote the song ‘Ayiram Nilave Vaa’ for the film ‘Slave Girl’ for MGR and started his film career as a famous scholar in the film industry. Died September 8, age 85.
St. Rajkumar
Forty-six-year-old Puneet Rajkumar died of a heart attack on October 29 while exercising.
