Venice, July 20. (askanews) – At least 110 people injured, broken glass, torn roofs, damaged structures, ruined crops. The Veneto counts the damage caused by the extraordinary hailstorm of recent days with grains the size of tennis balls and wind gusts of over 100 km per hour.
Firefighters, civil protection and volunteers are at work for the restoration works and damage census in the areas of Padua, Vicenza and Treviso. These photos were taken with a drone in Campolongo, a hamlet of Santo Stefano del Cadore, in the province of Belluno. The president of the Region has signed the decree for the state of emergency for all the affected areas in the hope of subsequently being able to access the national civil protection fund.
