How does it work?
Initially, two types of procedures were created. One of them is self-management, which allows digital submission and automatic resolution. This includes 30 notices of operation and their modifications, which can be done 24 hours a day. The second type of procedure is Electronic for drugs and medical devices.

Cofepris achieves a record of digital procedures

The new goal of Cofepris
The authority calculates that, thanks to digitization, In 2023, the goal of 300,000 procedures authorized online will be reached. The benefit is that these procedures can be carried out 24 hours a day and remotely, in addition to being able to receive an automatic response.
The representative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in MexicoJuan Manuel Sotelo Figueiredo, expressed his congratulations to Cofepris and highlighted the work of this regulatory agency at the national level, by maintaining the commitment to provide strategic support to the instances of protection against health risks in the states, as well as at the international level by promoting efforts to create better schemes for regional regulatory cooperation.
