Jerusalem, Israel – The police have wrapped up their investigation into a shocking incident of abuse involving a mentally exhausted person in a hospital. In the coming days, the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office is expected to file charges against four suspects allegedly responsible for the heinous act.

The incident, which came to light two weeks ago on July 7th, was initially reported after a video was live-streamed on the popular social networking platform “TikTok.” The video depicted a group of young individuals tormenting and humiliating a vulnerable person for an extended period of time. Authorities quickly responded to the scene, with Moriah police officers assisting in monitoring the situation and providing guidance to their counterparts in the Jerusalem district control center.

As a result of their rapid response, the police were able to locate and apprehend eight suspects, all residents of East Jerusalem, who were caught in the act. Subsequently, another individual, present at the time for medical treatment, was also arrested along with several other suspects who had visited him before partaking in the abusive behavior.

The investigation has revealed disturbing details of the mistreatment endured by the victim. The suspects were found to have subjected him to humiliation, abuse, and assigned degrading tasks, while also forcing him to utter nationalist statements. Shockingly, the individual receiving medical treatment on-site demanded that the victim kiss his feet, further exacerbating the repugnant situation.

In recent days, investigators from the Moriah station of the Jerusalem district have completed their thorough investigation of all those involved. After establishing a solid evidentiary foundation against some of the suspects, it is anticipated that the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office will file charges against four of them in the forthcoming days.

Senator Yossi Aharon Smtah Moriah expressed his deep concern over the incident, stating, “Beyond the criminal and improper behavior of those involved in humiliating and abusing a mentally exhausted person, there is also a very serious act here on a moral level. We could not remain indifferent in the face of such injury, physical and mental, to someone who cannot defend himself against those suspects.”

Senator Smtah Moriah also emphasized the importance of holding the suspects accountable, assuring the public that the authorities will continue to act against any mistreatment of the helpless and mentally exhausted individuals.

The police spokesperson confirmed the conclusion of the investigation but declined to provide additional details at this time.

The case has sparked outrage within the community, with individuals demanding justice for the victim and stricter regulations against such acts of abuse.
