Every year, the poison control center receives about 60,000 to 65,000 calls from Belgians who came into contact with a product that may be toxic. “Not all calls are equally serious. If you are worried, it is better to call out of caution,” reassures deputy general manager Dominique Vandijck. However, there are still a number of problems that we can easily avoid thanks to a few simple rules of thumb. These tips can already considerably reduce the most common requests for help.
