A powerhouse for VfB!
Newcomer and fitness freak Jamie Leweling (22) has settled in well a week after his move (came from Union Berlin) on the Neckar. Leweling: “I’ve talked a lot with Atakan (Karazor/Editor’s note), he takes me by the hand very well here.”
What immediately catches your eye when you look at the Nuremberg native with Ghanaian roots: his athletic and extremely well-trained upper body.

Leweling grins when asked by BILD: “Of course you need good genes for that. But I also do a lot in the weight room. After school, when I was about 17, I had nothing to do and then I went to McFit around the corner twice a day. It was like a second sport for me. And that’s how it developed.”
The fitness discounter McFit offers memberships from as little as 24.90 per month. It was enough for Leweling. The offensive player also pays special attention to his diet. Leweling: “My mother was always good at cooking. I ate the hair off her head. And so far it has been worth it. I just know what’s good for my body.”
About his goals at VfB: “I want to make good use of my body and my speed. I’m also good at one-on-one dribbling. I’ll try to find the degrees and throw everything in.”
