Bujumbura: Local meeting in Isare to build confidence in the Burundian judicial system.
Bujumbura (Commune Isare), 12/07/2023 – In an approach aligned with the country’s judicial policy, the governor of Bujumbura, M. Nsengiyumva Désiré, orchestrated a meeting bringing together the main actors of the local justice system. Under the chairmanship of Mrs. Nizigiyimana Josiane, President of the Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI) of Bujumbura, magistrates, hill mediators and hill chiefs were mobilized for this local meeting. The objective of this initiative, initiated by the President of Burundi, is to restore citizens’ confidence in the national judicial system. A crucial step for the future of justice in Burundi.
