Women’s cycling is accelerating and the economic benefits are greater each year. But the girls are still far from being housed in the same boat. The observation applies in particular to the bonuses allocated to the runners throughout this second edition of the Tour de France women (from July 23 to 30) with Zwift. A difference partly justified by the duration of the event (eight days against three weeks for men).

In total, 250,000 euros are divided between the runners, and 50,000 euros are promised to the one who will succeed the Dutchwoman Annemiek Van Vleuten. This is ten times less than the men, who share 2.3 million euros, when the winner of the Yellow Jersey leaves the Champs-Élysées with a check for 250,000 euros. Discover in detail the bonuses received by the riders of the Tour peloton.

The final winners of these specific classifications will also be valued once the time trial in Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) is completed on July 30. The riders who climb on the podium with the green jersey or the polka dot jersey will each leave with 3,000 euros, as much as the best young rider in this women’s event.
