The weather will be cloudy this Monday across the country with thunderstorms on the eastern side and the north of the country. Nine departments will be placed in storm vigilance and three in heat wave orange vigilance, according to Météo-France.

Tonight, thunderstorms will circulate from west to east from the south of the Massif Central to the north of the Alps. These storms will be occasionally strong accompanied by hail, strong gusts of wind, strong rainfall intensities and significant electrical activity, particularly in the departments placed in orange vigilance.

Many showers

Nine departments will be placed in storm orange vigilance (Haute-Loire, and the Rhône-Alpes region) and three in heat wave orange vigilance (Alpes-Maritimes (06) and Corsica).

The storms will evacuate towards the eastern facade at the end of the night. There will be many showers from the north of the Alps to Alsace Lorraine and the sky will be generally cloudy over the country. A few showers will be triggered from Aquitaine to Auvergne. From Brittany to the Belgian border, the showers will follow one another and may be accompanied by thunderclaps.
