The works for the activation of the Chemotherapy Unit of the José María Vargas hospital continue ahead, together with what will be the area of external consultations.
It has carried out 90% of the repair work and it was learned that for now all that remains is to adjust some details and execute the equipment. The consultation area is 80% complete.
These works are being carried out by the Government. In March 2023, Governor José Alejandro Terán promised the recovery of this and other health centers in the state.
It is expected that the chemotherapy unit will be able to care for another large part of the Guairean population that suffers from cancer, since at this moment there are only two, the one at the Doctor Rafael Medina Jiménez hospital, Pariata, and the one at the Hugo Chávez Comprehensive Health Center, Macuto./ jd
