Three people were killed in Sao Joao do Ivaia municipality with 10,600 inhabitants in the north of Paranáon Saturday the 22nd. One of the victims is the Samu ambulance driver, who was killed when he arrived at the place where a couple had been killed.
The author of the shots turned himself in on the morning of this Sunday, the 23rd, but the Civil Police, who took the man’s statement, have not yet disclosed the motive for the triple homicide.

According to initial information, the killer went to the home of a couple — identified as João de Lima Lomba, 47, and Edvane Castilho do Carmo Lomba, 46 — and shot them both. The man died instantly and the woman, taken to the hospital, did not resist and died shortly afterwards.

The third victim is Valdecir Farias de Oliveira, 52 years old, Samu’s ambulance driver, who went to the crime scene, a house in the Luar District, in the rural area, to help the victims.
According to reports given by witnesses to the police, reproduced by the local press, minutes after shooting the couple, the assassin returned to kill the driver. Valdecir do Luar, as he was known, was councilor in São João do Paraíso for three terms.

The killer arrived at the scene in a pickup truck and, after the shots, fled on foot. This Sunday, he turned himself in accompanied by a lawyer. The Civil Police reported that he was sent to the public jail of Ivaiporã.
