The woman was taken to the park’s infirmary with a foot injury, although the cause of the injury remains unclear. Lagerbäck emphasized that safety is a top priority at the park, but accidents still occur and it is challenging to prevent every single incident.
A witness who was at Gröna Lund on Monday described the shock among visitors following the accidents. People were left wondering what had happened as they saw healthcare staff attending to the injured individuals. The witness also mentioned that those inside Lustiga huset had to evacuate through side entrances due to the second accident, creating an unsettling atmosphere.
These recent accidents follow a previous incident in July where a female employee was struck by a gondola on the Insane roller coaster. The incident, captured on video, showed the employee being hit by parts of the belt and a passenger’s leg. The employee, who suffered body pain and a slight concussion, has since recovered. Gröna Lund reported the workplace accident and conducted an investigation.
