“A first examination of the situation, an assessment of the damage caused by the flood to the cultural and artistic heritage of Emilia Romagna: these are the contents of the meeting with General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo. The commitment to work together quickly and well”. This is what the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano underlines on Twitter.
The meeting was held at the Collegio Romano, headquarters of the MIC, and at the center of the conversation between the Minister of Culture and the government commissioner for post-flood reconstruction in Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Tuscany there was “an initial assessment of the damage to the cultural heritage of the flooded areas, to whose recovery the resources will be allocated also from the one euro increase in the tickets for all state museums introduced with the recent decree law”. The measure, in force in the period between 15 June and 15 September, “may be extended for a further three months if necessary”, it is specified.
Furthermore, “other initiatives are being studied in the wake of the result obtained with the extraordinary concert ‘Italia loves Romagna’. The interventions to secure and recover the cultural assets damaged by the flood will see the involvement of the central and peripheral structures of the Mic, already on the front line since the beginning of the emergency together with the Carabinieri of the Cultural Heritage Protection Command”.
