Ukrainian drone destroyed in Moscow region, says Russian defense
Russia thwarted a Ukrainian drone attack on Friday in the Moscow region which caused no damage or casualties according to the Russian authorities. “The drone was destroyed by air defense means”said the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram.
“During the night, an attempted enemy drone attack was carried out, the drone was shot down by the forces of the Ministry of Defense”, also wrote earlier on Telegram, Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow. The elected official did not provide information on this attack.
On Monday, kyiv claimed responsibility for a nighttime drone attack that hit Moscow. A “terrorist act”according to the Russian army, which had claimed that two Ukrainian machines had been neutralized and had crashed without causing any casualties.
On July 4, five drones were shot down over the Moscow region, according to Russia, an attack that disrupted the operation of Vnukovo, one of the capital’s three major international airports.
