It’s a piece of wild land in the far north of Japan. Shiretoko is a 386 square kilometer nature park, listed as a World Heritage Site for its exceptional flora and fauna. The Japanese call it “the bear peninsula”, while they are free in this park. “It may be the only place in Japan where you can see such nature”underlines a Japanese tourist. “It’s wonderful to see the sea and the mountain in the same place”, abounds in this sense another.
