Eduardo Sepúlveda won the Vuelta a Castilla y León after winning the last stage, 186.2 kilometers between Coca and Segovia. The Argentine thus debuted with Lotto Dstny and celebrated again after more than a year of drought, since he had not raised his arms since April 2022.
Sepúlveda relegated Pablo Castrillo in a one-on-one finish, while the podium was completed by Felix Engelhardt, 26 seconds behind.
“I almost can’t believe it. It was very hard and I had some luck because I jumped at the right moment and Castrillo was a great breakaway partner”, said the man from Chubut. “Even though we work well together, I thought the peloton would catch up with us. It was not like that, he caught up with us and I was able to win the stage and overall. It was fantastic”, completed the Argentine.
