The Governing Council has taken note of the new credit line within the financial mechanism promoted to provide liquidity to professionals in the agricultural sector Andalusia in these moments of economic difficulty. On this occasion, financing possibilities are offered to the countryside adapted to the current problems they are suffering due to the rise in production costs, severe inflation and drought, all of which are weighing down the profitability of their farms.

This new line of loans focuses on offer producers solutions to the working capital necessary to meet current expenses that they have in the farms or in the companies, among which are the payment of payrolls, the expenses of electrical energy, diesel, feed, fertilizers or the different inputs that both agricultural and livestock activities require.

Thus, the Junta de Andalucía will subsidize two points of the interest rate of the credits over the next two years, which may reach up to 200,000 euros without the need for a guarantee or expense limit. This measure involves the implementation of improvements in the loans that Andalusian rural professionals can request through the financial instrument approved by the Board in 2020 and, therefore, farmers or ranchers are not required to present a guarantee. Among other novelties, this banking possibility is now extended to the entire Andalusian agricultural sector.

The line of credits promoted by the Andalusian Government joins other actions to support the countryside launched to facilitate the implementation of projects necessary for agricultural and livestock farms to cope with the water shortage that affects the region .

This is the case, for example, of subsidies for the installation of drinking troughs, endowed with 8.5 million euros; or the de minimis aid included in the Andalusian Drought Decree, whose budget amounts to ten million euros, and will be aimed at the sectors most affected by the drought such as beekeeping, chestnut trees and the wine-making vineyard.

In addition, the Board plans to September the call for incentives that support the costs derived from storage infrastructures (ponds) and transport of water with an amount of five million euros.
