Trader Joe’s Issues Two More Recalls for Prepared Soup and Falafel

Trader Joe’s, the popular grocery retailer, has issued two more recalls this week, bringing the total number of recalls to three in just seven days. The first recall is for the Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup, while the second is for its Fully Cooked Falafel.

In a statement released on Thursday, Trader Joe’s warned customers that its Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup, with use-by dates ranging from July 18, 2023, to September 15, 2023, may contain insects. The company urged customers to check their soups and discard any potentially contaminated products.

Then, on Friday, Trader Joe’s announced another recall, this time for its Fully Cooked Falafel. The falafel, sold in 35 states and Washington, DC, could contain rocks. The company quickly removed all affected products from its shelves and advised customers to either dispose of the items or return them to any store for a full refund.

Trader Joe’s reassured its customers that they are taking these recalls seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety and quality of their products. The company added that they are working closely with suppliers to investigate the source of the issues and prevent similar incidents in the future.

These recent recalls mark the third time Trader Joe’s has had to issue recalls within a week. Earlier this month, the company recalled their Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, as well as their Almond Windmill Cookies, due to the potential presence of rocks in the ingredients.

Trader Joe’s deeply regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers and reaffirms its commitment to providing safe and high-quality products. Customers who have purchased any of the recalled items are encouraged to contact Trader Joe’s customer relations for further assistance.
