Martina Voss-Tecklenburg congratulated Colombia’s super talent Linda Caicedo immediately after the final whistle.

Collapsed on the training ground
Caicedo scored a dream goal in the 52nd minute to put Germany ahead. “We knew beforehand that she was a great young player,” said Voss-Tecklenburg. In the final phase, however, the striker had to be treated longer and was only substituted in injury time. In preparation for the game, she collapsed on the training ground.
“It’s nothing for us to worry about,” said Colombia assistant coach Angelo Marsiglia. “Her pulse was a little quicker, but it wasn’t a problem.” Caicedo was tired.
