“Sound of freedom” legacy in El Salvador

The screening will be this July 28, at 5:30 pm, at the Teatro Presidente, for around 600 people who registered online after the call made on social networks by the Ministry of Culture.

San Salvador. The Ministry of Culture announced the premiere, in El Salvador, of the long-awaited film “Sound of freedom”, which will take place this week.

Sound of Freedom is based on true events, the film tells the story of Tim Ballard (played by actor Jim Caviezel), a former Homeland Security agent of the United States who quit his job to dedicate himself to saving the lives of hundreds of children, in Latin America, of human trafficking.

The direction of the story, classified for over 18 years, is in charge of the Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Monteverde and was produced by Eduardo Verástegui, who also acts in the film.

The performances, led by Caviezel, also include the winner of an Oscar and a Golden Globe, Mira Sorvino, in the role of Katherine Ballard, as well as the famous supporting actor Bill Camp and the Honduran-American José Zúñiga (from “ Twilight”), among others.
