In the first half of this year, Adif Acerca shot up the number of assistances to travelers with disabilities or reduced mobility by 27.1 percent from all operators compared to the same period in 2022, by providing 336,873 assistances.
Adif Acerca has provided its mobility assistants with a new uniform and has expanded the points of the stations where travelers can be assisted: entrance, parking, passenger arrival area and public transport stops. In addition, seventy stations offer the Svisual sign language video interpretation system for people with hearing disabilities and mobility assistants have been provided with smartphones and tablets. Likewise, 5 million euros have been invested in equipment, wheelchairs and lifting platforms to guarantee access to the trains.
