Southern Railway Announces Changes in Tiruchendur Train Service due to Tunneling Work

Southern Railway has announced some changes in the Tiruchendur train service due to tunneling work. The railway crossing between Kovilpatti – Nalli railway stations has been removed and construction of a new tunnel is underway.

In light of this development, some changes have been made in Tiruchendur train services on August 1 and 2. The Tiruchendur – Palakkad Express (16732), Palakkad – Tiruchendur Express (16731) will be partially canceled between Virudhunagar – Tiruchendur stations on August 1 and 2.

Additionally, the Thiruvananthapuram – Tiruchirappalli Express (22628) will have a change in its departure time. It will depart Thiruvananthapuram 40 minutes late at 12.15 pm on 1st and 2nd August.

These changes have been implemented to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of the train service during the ongoing tunneling work. Passengers are advised to take note of the alterations and plan their journeys accordingly.
