Nicknamed “El Potro”, the colt, Jorge Dominguez left his mark on the Ligue 2 and Ligue 1 championships. The Argentinian striker died at the age of 64, as communicated by OGC Nice, the club where he started his career in France when he came from Boca Junior.

Jorge Dominguez played on the Côte d’Azur from 1984 to 1986, scoring 28 goals in two seasons with the Aiglons. But above all, he had been “one of the great architects of the club’s rise in D1”. On its website, OGC Nice pays tribute to “his formidable heading game (despite a modest size), his sense of goal”, which earned him to be the only Niçois top scorer in the D2 championship.

Nîmes Olympique was also moved by the disappearance of Dominguez, player for three seasons, between 1988 and 1991, and author of 27 goals in 52 games. In Nîmes too, the Argentinian had helped the club to go up in the first division, in 1990. “El Potro” also played under the colors of Toulon, and Tours. He has 3 selections with Argentina.
