Restrictions in Bengal: Schools and colleges will be closed and night curfew imposed

Kolkata സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ Restrictions have been imposed in Bengal in view of the increasing number of Kovid cases per day, including the Omicron variant. Schools and colleges in the state will be closed. A night curfew was also ordered from 10pm to 5am. Bengal Chief Secretary H.K. Dwivedi said.

Swimming pools, gyms, spas, beauty parlors and wellness centers will also be closed. Government and private offices can operate at 50 per cent capacity. Meetings should be held virtually. Kolkata Metro services will also be up to 50 per cent capacity. Local trains will run only till 7 pm. Long-distance trains will normally be allowed to operate.

Theaters, restaurants, and bars can operate at 50 percent capacity until 10 p.m. Shopping malls are open at 10 percent capacity from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only 50 people can attend weddings and other social, religious and cultural events. Only 20 people will be allowed at the funeral. The restrictions will take effect on Monday.
