This August 1, 2023, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) began the Rapid Vaccination Monitoring (MRV), a phase that will allow verifying compliance with the vaccination campaign against polio, measles and rubella throughout the Ecuadorian territory.

Until yesterday, July 31, 2023, 3.4 million boys and girls were vaccinated nationwide through the massive campaign that took place since May 2 of this year. That is, it was possible to reach 90% vaccination of the child population of Ecuador.

This new phase involves the massive deployment of MSP personnel with teams from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to verify vaccination coverage and identify unvaccinated children.

The staff will visit the homes and request the presentation of the vaccination certificate, if they do not have it on hand, they will be asked to provide the information to validate it in the system.

Rapid Vaccination Monitoring will be carried out until August 31, 2023. During this phase, vaccination against polio, measles and rubella will continue in all MSP health centers, where parents can go to vaccinate their sons or daughters. up to 12 years safely and free.
