The property tax weighs more and more in the budgets: “There is a form of injustice”

The disappearance of the housing tax sounded like excellent news for all French households. But it is partly blurred by another tax which increases from year to year: the property tax, only paid by the owners. According to a study by Meilleurtaux that we are revealing, it cost 111 euros per month, on average last year, for a couple with two children living in a 70 m2. An increase of 6 euros, compared to the previous year (105 euros). This represents the equivalent of a little more than one additional monthly payment of credit per year.
