At 45, the legendary goalkeeper of Italy, passed by Paris Saint-Germain, announced his retirement. The captain of the France team pays tribute to him.
21 years separate the two players. Gianluigi Buffon was already a professional and international with the Italy team while Kylian Mbappé was not even born. But the Italian doorman made the pleasure last on the pitch and rubbed shoulders with several generations.
Kylian Mbappé and Gianluigi Buffon shared the Paris Saint-Germain locker room for a year during the 2018-2019 season. The two players lined up on the field together 16 times under the orders of Thomas Tuchel.

A common season at PSG for Buffon and Mbappé
The striker and goalkeeper also crossed paths twice, in the semi-finals of the 2016-2017 Champions League when the Frenchman was still playing in Monaco. The Italian was defending the goals for Juventus Turin.
In the return match, Kylian Mbappé had also scored the Monegasques’ only goal in this double confrontation. On Twitter, the captain of the Blues paid tribute to his former partner.
