Naveen is a 46-year-old woman from Varakaneri Vishwas, next to Taranallur, Trichy. Gandhi Market police were informed last evening that he had died in a fire in the kitchen. Trichy Gandhi Market police rushed to the spot, seized Naveen’s body and sent it to Trichy Government Hospital for autopsy.

While autopsy details were not released, Naveen was found with stab wounds to the head in various places. Following the police investigation, his daughter-in-law Reshma confessed to killing her mother-in-law by stabbing her in the head several times with a screw driver and throwing a stone at her head.
Naveen has been at loggerheads since his romantic marriage to his son Azim Khan Reshma. Reshma said her mother-in-law Navina had persuaded her not to have a second child while she was having her first child, adding that she had undergone surgery by force last January. He also told the police that his mother-in-law was angry with Naveen as he was suffering from severe abdominal pain. He also admitted to pretending to be a firefighter to cover up the murder.
The police, who recorded his confession, asked if anyone else was involved in the murder. Are being investigated.
