Those who opted for teaching prepared specifically for it: they did not come to the classroom because with another title (translator or a certificate from language institutes) they could not find work. Nowadays, when they talk about “quality” and they boast that Tucumán has English from 4th grade of the primary level, they should also see that in the registers where teachers who aspire to have hours or a position in the State are registered, they are also accepting people who are not qualified to teach. How is it possible that there is an enabling or supplementary standard in Language? It’s like saying: “I have a first aid course, I’m going to practice as a doctor!” And not to mention if we take into account that, by lacking the specific training that a language requires, they are committing atrocities. We know that the “hand is hard”, but we must be aware that each area needs training, and that those who have other non-teaching certifications would have chosen to continue the career to be able to practice. Currently, teachers with a degree cannot have another position at the primary level because “they already have one” (they respond from the Board), without taking into account the training or the order of merit, when by law the teacher can have up to two positions at the primary level. primary level, or combine with hours at the secondary level until reaching the maximum of 42.
