The CEO of Casino, Jean-Charles Naouri, has been targeted since the beginning of June by a new judicial investigation, this time for rape and domestic violence, the Nanterre prosecution said on Thursday.

His wife had filed a first complaint in February 2022 for acts of psychological violence. The investigation subsequently opened against the CEO of the Casino distribution group had been dismissed at the end of August 2022 by the Nanterre prosecution because “no offense” was “sufficiently characterized”.

“The examining magistrate will investigate to see if there are new elements” after the filing of a new complaint with civil action in October 2022 by the wife of the CEO, with whom he was then in the process of divorce, added the prosecution.

The defense of Jean-Charles Naouri had, at the time of the dismissal of the first investigation, denounced “fanciful” allegations.

Jean-Charles Naouri has been the CEO of the Casino group since March 2005.
