The Great Britain delegation confirmed its representatives for the Cycling World Cup to be held in Glasgow, which will be the first to bring together all the official modalities of cranks and pedals. One of the main novelties is the inclusion of Geraint Thomas exclusively for the individual time trial and not for the online test.
‘G’, who is currently building his form in the Tour of Poland, will surely evade the road challenge because it will take place two days after the closing of the Polish round, so he will only concentrate on the timed appointment, agreed for the 11th of August. There he will be accompanied by his partner at INEOS and young promise, Joshua Tarling, who will also focus solely on said exercise.
For the event to take place this Sunday, the British will be led by Fred Wright, who will be escorted by Luke Rowe, Ben Swift, Ben Turner, Connor Swift, Jake Stewart, Samuel Watson and Owain Doull.
