The Tenerife zoo Loro Parque has announced this Thursday the birth of two ring-tailed lemur cubs (Lemur catta), a species listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

According to the zoo’s website, this type of lemur is native to Madagascar and is an animal very social, living in communities that can reach 30 specimens and its size from head to tail is around a meter.

The Loro Parque Foundation has published this on its Twitter account, also adding a video of the hatchlings on the zoo’s Instagram account.

Es a species whose population has declined by more than 50% in the last 30 years due to the reduction of space in its natural habitat on the island of Madagascar.
