Burkina: The Council of Ministers adopts three decrees for the application of the law on wards, heroes, martyrs and invalids of the Nation
Ouagadougou, August 3, 2023 (AIB)-The Council of Ministers adopted this Thursday under the chairmanship of the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, three law enforcement decrees on wards, heroes, martyrs and invalids of the Nation .
These three decrees were adopted under the Prime Minister. In his report, the government spokesman Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo affirms that the first decree concerns creation, organization, composition, attributions and
functioning of the National Commission for the Analysis and Monitoring of
files of heroes, martyrs and invalids of the Nation.
The Council of Ministers was chaired by the President of the Transition Captain Ibrahim Traoré
The second decree establishes the adoption procedure and the terms of protection and support of the ward of the Nation.
The third decree covers the composition of the quality recognition file

According to the Minister of State in charge of the Public Service Bassolma Bazié, the adoption of these decrees will make it possible “to set up a commission responsible for examining all the files in relation to the heroes, a mechanism to remove all bottlenecks in terms of hindering the procedure for adopting a case concerning a child or person qualified as a ward, hero, martyr or invalid”.
These decrees will also make it possible, he continued, “to determine the advantages conferred on him and to specify the composition of the files necessary to recognize a person as a ward, hero, martyr and invalid”.
On behalf of the Ministry of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection, the Council authorized the ratification of four conventions.
These are “convention 151 on labor relations in the public service, convention 154 on collective bargaining of 1981, convention 155 on safety and health at work and convention 181 on agencies”, explained the Minister in charge of the Public Service Bassolma Bazié.

He specified that this authorization of ratification will “improve the living conditions of the world of work and provide more protection to workers”.
The Council of Ministers also adopted a decree on the mode of management of public officials of the State mobilized for the defense of the Fatherland.
“As soon as you become a VDP as a civil servant, the State has the possibility of assigning you to a given territorial area with specific missions under the control of the first security official,” said Minister of State Bazié.
He stressed that “this decree also takes into account the management of the career of the VDP civil servant”.
