The mayoress of Huelva, Pilar Miranda, has visited together with the presidents of the port authorities of Andalusia the exhibition located in the Caseta de Exposiciones de las Colombinas dedicated to Andalusian ports of general interest, as part of the 150th Anniversary of the port of huelva (spain).
To commemorate the occasion, the Huelva City Council has dedicated this edition of the city’s biggest festival to the seven Andalusian ports of general interest in recognition of their role as Andalusia’s economic engines. The ports valued are those of Algeciras, Almería, Cádiz, Huelva, Málaga, Motril and Seville.
During the visit, the mayoress of Huelva has encouraged the people of Huelva and all those who visit the city these days to see the exhibition, “an exhibition that highlights the importance of the Port of Huelva in the development of the city and the province , as well as the work carried out by the seven Andalusian ports to promote the development and competitiveness of the Andalusian Community in all areas and sectors of activity”, according to Miranda.
“But, above all, – continued the mayoress, – with this exhibition we want to recognize the role that the Port of Huelva has played in the history of the city and the province, as a driving force for new investments and contributing to revitalize the economy already create employment”, added the mayoress.
For his part, the president of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, thanked the Huelva City Council and its mayoress, Pilar Miranda, for the recognition given to the ports of general interest in Andalusia during the Columbian Festival. Likewise, Santana has mentioned the support of the Andalusian ports for this initiative, contributing significant objects from its history and activity.
On the other hand, the Port of Huelva has announced that it will install a cold pipeline to link the Enagás regasification terminal with the Cold Logistics Hub of the Huelva enclave. The project will involve an investment of seven million euros, VAT included, and an execution period of 12 months.
