SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Singapore has opened the processed pork market for exports from Brazil, after adjustments to the International Health Certificate have been completed, the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday.
In 2022, Singapore was the seventh destination for Brazilian exports, with a total value of US$8.3 billion, the Itamaraty said in a statement, adding that meat products accounted for 7% of that amount.
“The opening of this new market is the result of coordinated action between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, with the participation of the Brazilian agricultural sector,” said the Itamaraty.
