One of the financiers of the film Sound of Freedom –flim that relates the problem of human trafficking and child trafficking– was captured in the United States for being the alleged perpetrator of the crime of kidnapping minors.
This is Fabian Marta. The man was denounced on July 21 for crimes against minors and this Friday it was reported that the San Luis Police Department (USA) found his whereabouts and his subsequent arrest.
The news was confirmed by the San Luis Police Department to the American media Newsweek. The defendant’s next court appointment is on August 28.

The bail set for Marta is $15,000. For now, it is known that he was released after appearing in court on July 24 – three days after being denounced. For now, there is no clarity about the details for which he was denounced.
Marta injected part of her resources to support the making of the film Sound of Freedom. Although she did not participate in the team, her name managed to appear in the production credits as “Fabian Marta & Family”.

Sound of Freedom (Sound of freedom in Spanish) is the story of a United States Homeland Security agent who undertakes a risky adventure to combat child trafficking. The footage is based on real events and part of the production was recorded in Colombia.
“After rescuing a boy from ruthless traffickers, a federal agent learns that the boy’s sister is still being held captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, she quits her job and travels deep into the Colombian jungle, risking her life to free her from a fate worse than death,” reads the film’s synopsis.
The film opened on July 4 in the United States and has since grossed more than $100 million. The flim is expected to premiere in Colombia after August 31, 2023.
