Clouds and rain. This Sunday, August 6, the weather will still be mixed over a large part of the country. From the south of the Garonne to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and on the northeast quarter, the day will start under a cloudy sky, announces Météo France. It will rain lightly near the Pyrenees and Massif Central mountains. Heavier rains will occur near the Belgian border and from the Grand Est to the northern Alps. Precipitation will be significant on the Vosges relief and a little snow will fall above 2,200 m on the Savoy relief.

In the afternoon, weaker showers will still circulate from the north of the Seine to the German borders and from the Jura to the northern Alps.

A strong wind in Corsica

In the Mediterranean regions, the weekend will continue with very sunny but still windy weather. Tramontane, mistral and westerly wind on the relief and the extremities of Corsica will blow in gusts of 70 to 90 km/h. The 100 km / h were temporarily reached or exceeded in the night from Saturday to Sunday towards Cap Corse with a risk in the Bastia region. Strong waves are also to be feared on the western coast of Corse-du-Sud. The region has also been placed on yellow alert for wind and waves-submersion by Météo France.

More changeable skies will return to the rest of the country. Rather fine clearings will develop on the coasts of Brittany and the Atlantic. Cloudy periods will remain more numerous in the lands of the northern half, but will only give rare showers. The wind will still blow significantly over the north and northeast of the country, between 50 and locally 60/70 km / h in gusts.

As for temperatures, 11 to 15 degrees are expected from North to South in the morning, 18 to 25 during the day. Locally in the Grand Est, the maximum will not exceed 16 or 17 degrees. In Corsica, temperatures will be between 16 and 20 degrees in the morning, between 26 and 30 in the afternoon.
