BOLZANO. They chose the New Year’s Eve night, taking advantage of the customers busy waiting for 2022, to score the coup.

Thieves in action in Castelrotto, in a luxury hotel.

The thugs managed to steal two safes from two rooms, eventually causing them to lose track.
Customers became aware of the theft once they returned to their rooms at the end of the New Year’s Eve.
The carabinieri investigated the theft and also questioned the hotel employees. It is hypothesized that the thieves, most likely professionals, may have had a basista among the hotel staff.
