In the last 96 hours, in Switzerland there were 38,437 new covid infections, 33 deaths and 150 hospitalizations for the virus. The data reported by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) are down from the Christmas weekend. Since the start of the pandemic, 1,371,038 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, while 11,922 deaths have been reported.

In total, 67.21% of Swiss have already received two doses of the vaccine. Among the population over 12, the share rises to 76.48%. In addition, 64.32% of people over 65 and 25.12% of the population received the so-called booster.
