São Paulo received Atlético-MG this Sunday afternoon (06), at Morumbi, and suffered a 2-0 setback, for the 18th round of the Brasileirão.
The team returns to the field next Thursday, for the second leg of the round of 16 of CONMEBOL Sudamericana, against San Lorenzo, at 7 pm, in Morumbi.
Playing at home, Tricolor created the first chance of the game with just one minute, but ended up conceding the goal two minutes later with a free kick by Hulk.
In search of the comeback, the São Paulo team almost reached a draw in a great move by Rodrigo Nestor, who finished with a cross close to the goalkeeper’s left post. Still in the first stage, Diego Costa headed in after a corner kick, but stopped in the hands of the goalkeeper, ending the first stage at a disadvantage.
