Three more SDPI activists arrested in connection with the murder of OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjith Srinivasan. Suhail (24) of Sheeja Manzil, Mullat ward, Alappuzha, and two SDPI activists from Mannancherry who were directly involved in the murder were arrested.
Suhail was arrested for helping one of the main accused to escape and destroying evidence. He was nabbed by an investigation team comprising Alappuzha DySP NR Jayaraj, Alappuzha South CIS Arun and Cyber CIMK Rajesh. This brings the number of people arrested in the case to 14. They were arrested on the basis of information received from the arrested accused yesterday. Police have not yet released the names of the main accused in the arrest.
Twelve people in six bikes were directly involved in Ranjith’s murder. Two more people involved in the conspiracy in the murder case are yet to be arrested.
