Ceuta, Aug 7 (EFE).- A Ceuta civil guard has been arrested and later released with precautionary measures this Monday for an alleged crime of sexual assault on a minor at the city’s patron saint festivities.
As reported to EFE by judicial and police sources, the events occurred in the early hours of Saturday to Sunday at the city’s fairgrounds, where the agent allegedly “touched” a 16-year-old minor, according to the testimony of the alleged victim.
The agent, whom the father of the minor confronted at the same fairgrounds, was arrested by the Local Police and transferred to the police premises.
The detainee has spent this afternoon at the judicial disposal, where he has denied the facts, after which he has been released with precautionary measures such as the withdrawal of his passport and a measure of removal of the minor for the duration of the investigation.
In court, the opposing versions of the two parties have been recorded, as well as that the agent, who was off duty, did not know the minor at all. EFE
