Paranthan traders today (03-01-2022) staged a sit-in protest demanding justice for the youth who was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon on New Year’s Day at the Paranthan junction in Kilinochchi.
Gunaratnam Karthipan, 24, was stabbed to death in the incident and another is still receiving treatment at a hospital.
According to our regional correspondent, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident and the killers have already been linked to various criminal activities and have close links with the police.
