Despite the announcement of the restoration of services in the Itaú application and website, during the early hours of this Tuesday (8) there were still records of complaints from account holders about difficulties in accessing accounts.

On social networks, account holders reported the need to make several attempts before being able to use the application, unavailable access to the salary account and complained about paying interest on overdue accounts on Monday (7), when digital services showed instability.

Itaú responded that the apps gradually return, apologized and suggested that account holders make new attempts. The same response was given to customers who complained, in the early hours of the morning, regarding the use of the Credicard application.

The number of complaints, however, was much lower than during the day, a period when bank transactions are high, unlike at dawn.

On the platform Downdetector, which receives complaints from users in near real time, there are no reports of current problems with the bank. Downdetector reports an incident only when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the usual volume.

The platform began to register an increase in complaints from 8:20 am on Monday. The peak was reached at 9:19 am, with 4,090 complaints against the institution. At 8:13 pm, there were 45 entries. At 10:18 pm, it dropped to 19. For Itaú’s digital bank, Iti, there were 7 complaints at the same time – the peak was 722 during the day.

Earlier, Itaú reported that the instability was of internal origin in the systems. The bank had stressed that there was no external attack of any kind and that customer data is safe.
