Industrial production grew in six of the 15 locations surveyed in June compared to May, according to data from the Monthly Industrial Survey – Regional Physical Production, released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) this Tuesday, 8.
In São Paulo, the country’s largest industrial park, there was a retraction of 2.7%. The other decreases occurred in Ceará (-6.4%), Northeast Region (-4.5%), Amazonas (-4.0%), Paraná (-3.3%), Minas Gerais (-1.1% ), Pará (-1.0%), Pernambuco (-1.0%) and Rio Grande do Sul (-0.5%).
In the opposite direction, there were advances in Espírito Santo (4.6%), Rio de Janeiro (3.2%), Santa Catarina (2.6%), Mato Grosso (2.2%), Goiás (1.8% ) and Bahia (0.5%). In the global average, the national industry grew 0.1% in June compared to May.

In the opposite direction, there were advances in Rio Grande do Norte (16.5%), Espírito Santo (11.8%), Rio de Janeiro (11.7%), Mato Grosso (10.5%), Pará (6. 7%), Amazonas (6.6%), Goiás (4.7%), Minas Gerais (4.4%) and Pernambuco (3.9%).
