In the South, the notice of Inmet’s turn covers the entire region. Classified in orange, which represents “danger”, the alert has some adverse weather phenomena. That’s because, until 10 am today, it can rain up to 100 millimeters (mm), have wind gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour (km/h) and hail.

“Risk of power cuts, damage to plantations, falling trees and flooding”, informs, in this sense, the Inmet in its alert in the weather forecast for this morning.

For the Southeast, the weather forecast for this Wednesday morning from Inmet has three yellow alerts, which mean “potential danger”. The first, of gale, is, namely, concentrated on the western portion of the State of São Paulo. Winds can reach 60 km/h. Thus, there is “low risk of falling tree branches”. Active until 9 am, the warning also covers the extreme east of Mato Grosso do Sul (already in the Midwest).

The other two yellow alerts on the Inmet for the Southeast are related to excessive rainfall. One covers the entire east coast of São Paulo and the extreme south of the coast of Rio de Janeiro. The other, however, covers the north of the State of Rio de Janeiro and the southern half of Espírito Santo. In both cases, the information is that there is a chance of raining up to 50 mm until 10 am today.

While alerts for the South and Southeast are given in relation to problems with storms and windstorms, the highlight this morning in the Midwest is another. That’s because Inmet issues a yellow alert due to low relative humidity, which by 7 pm today should range from 12% to 30%. There is, in this sense, “potential danger” for the occurrence of forest fire risks.

In addition to covering almost the entirety of the Midwest, with the exception of the south of Mato Grosso do Sul and the extreme northwest of Mato Grosso, the warning about low relative humidity in the air covers the following areas:

western São Paulo; Mining Triangle; Tocantins (with the exception of the extreme north of the state, the so-called “parrot’s beak”); south of Pará; and Roraima (with the exception of the northern part of the State).

Finally, the last alert this morning indicates the advance of heavy rains in the north of the country. According to Inmet, it will rain, until 10 am today, about 50 mm over the area that covers the west of Roraima, the northwest, west and part of the central strip of Amazonas and the west of Acre.
